Designed for freedom, engineered for performance. The new F-one Rocket Free Downwind 2026 combines glide, volume, and acceleration in an elongated shape, perfectly suited to emerging disciplines such as pocket winging and K-Winging.
The Rocket Free range was developed to meet the needs of modern freefly and downwind disciplines. In these sports, freedom is key: the wing or paddle is used only to take off before being stashed or flagged out, allowing you to ride swells and ocean energy alone.
To support this riding style, the Rocket Free Downwind features increased length to enhance glide and acceleration, combined with sufficient volume to plane quickly and with stability. Since take-offs in these disciplines are often more technical than in traditional wing foiling, this board gives you the extra advantage needed to get going smoothly.
Building on the fundamentals of the Midlength concept natural front to rear balance, stability, and glide the Rocket Free Downwind pushes performance further. Its longer shape and stretched outline increase glide even more. A rear step and kicktail help generate speed quickly and smooth out touchdowns. The shallow cockpit keeps control precise underfoot without adding unnecessary thickness, while the width-to-thickness ratio strikes the ideal balance between stability and acceleration, even when underpowered.
Compared to the Free Surf, the Free Downwind is the more stable option. It features increased thickness, a wider nose and bottom surface, and squarer rails. The slightly front-biased foot pressure follows the classic F-one board feel and is designed for riders who prioritize stability and easy take-offs, even in choppy or challenging conditions.
Built with F-one’s Bamboo Deck Construction, the board remains light and responsive while maintaining durability and strength. The connection to the foil feels direct and precise, delivering full control throughout the entire session even at higher speeds.
