The new F-one Rocket Free Surf 2026 blends glide, control, and maneuverability into a narrow, elongated design perfect for carving swells, bumps, or choppy waters, with or without a sail.
Accessible, responsive, and incredibly fun in flight, it is the ideal board for prone surf foil, pocket wing, K-Wing, or foil assist.
With the rise of disciplines like K-Winging and pocket winging where riders enjoy freedom with minimal bulk more foilers are shifting toward an ocean surfing style focused on carving swells and linking bumps with precision. The Rocket Free Surf is built exactly for this purpose: delivering the take-off support and stability you need, while being fully dedicated to carving once airborne.
Building on the success of the Rocket Surf Prone, this board features an elongated outline to facilitate take-offs, optimized volume distribution, and a carefully tuned rake angle that creates perfectly balanced front to back foot pressure. Combined with reduced thickness, this results in excellent in flight control.
The straight rocker line ensures smooth acceleration, while beveled rails reduce drag during touchdowns and allow for more committed turns. A slightly flatter nose improves control and pumping efficiency, while the tapered nose and tail enhance maneuverability and minimize unwanted water contact during carves.
The rear step and kicktail free up water flow and increase pumping amplitude. The deck has also been widened and subtly reshaped to improve foot placement and overall stability.
Compared to the Free Downwind, the Free Surf is a more nimble board thanks to its tapered nose and bottom outline, reduced thickness, and balanced foot pressure. This combination delivers excellent pitch stability, even during powerful, aggressive turns.
Built with F-one’s Bamboo Deck Construction, the board remains light, strong, and highly responsive. The connection to the foil feels direct and precise, maintaining full control throughout the entire session even at higher speeds.
