The Ride Engine Charger is a low-profile water helmet built specifically for the unique hydrodynamics of surfing and watersports, from duck dives to over the falls wipeouts. It’s designed to stay securely in place, shed water fast, and reduce drag compared to helmets adapted from other sports.

What makes the Charger extra special is how much you can tune it to your own head and riding style. It comes with multiple stick-on EVA fit pads (including 3 mm and 6 mm options) so you can fine-tune the fit, and you can even stack padding to fill larger gaps. Ride Engine recommends first positioning the pads with small pieces of tape before sticking them down permanently.

Want it more minimalist? Inside the EVA padding you’ll find cutting guides (OEM trim line) that let you trim away sections of the outer EVA layer so you can dial your protection depending on preference. For example, riders who paddle prone boards may trim the rear EVA for extra comfort.
