The Armstrong Downwind Performance Front Wing is built for experienced riders who want to push their downwind foiling to the highest level. Developed specifically for racing in Hawaii's interisland channels and already a podium finisher at the Molokai2Oahu World Championship, this wing is the result of serious hydrodynamic research and real world open ocean testing.

The design process started with collecting actual waveform and riding data from Hawaiian channels, followed by advanced CFD fluid dynamics work to fine-tune a foil shape with extreme top-end glide and accessible low-end flight speeds. The result is a wing that gets you on foil in milder conditions while staying remarkably stable and controlled at high speeds. The thin section and subtle anhedral to dihedral shape become more pitch and roll stable the faster you go without ever feeling locked in or stiff.

The evolutive section profile means the foil shape is slightly different at each point across the span, maximizing efficiency from tip to tip. Built from Toray intermediate and high modulus carbon fiber, it is as light and stiff as it gets.
