21/22 June: Long Dsitance Wingfoil Race
Sign up for the first edition of Round the Dam, a long-distance wingfoil race at the Brouwersdam! Open to all wingfoilers from the Netherlands and beyond, with different divisions so everyone can join the challenge. This race is organized by Natural High and the race team behind "De Ronde om Texel", with support from North Foils.
Route
The race follows a route along the North Sea side of the Brouwersdam. The course varies according to weather conditions, but will pass by Renesse and Ouddorp, with Natural High as both the starting and finishing point.
- Rabbit Start: The race kicks off from the beach, with riders entering the water only after a passing vehicle signals the start.
- Distance: A challenging 35-kilometer route along the North Sea side of the Brouwersdam.

FAQ's
When will the event take place?
Round the Dam will take place on June 21 or 22, 2025, depending on the best wind conditions. The final race day will be announced closer to the event.
What level do I need to participate?
Round the Dam is for experienced wingfoilers who can handle long distances in open water. We recommend that participants be comfortable riding in various wind conditions and be able to perform a sufficient jibe to navigate the course safely.
What is the entry fee?
The standard entry fee is €75. However, if you sign up early (up to two weeks before the event), you get an Early Bird discount and pay only €60.
How is the race judged?
Round the Dam is a long-distance race where the ranking is based on time. GPS tracking via STRAVA will be used to verify race times. Any disputes or rule violations will be reviewed by the race organization and jury.
How is my race tracked and recorded?
Every participant must have a GPS-enabled phone or watch that is active throughout the race. All riders must also be registered in the official STRAVA group: Round the Dam 2025 where race data will be recorded and reviewed.
